Weekly Update Jan 30

Hello from Miss C

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for accepting me into Grade 5 at St Julia and allowing me to work with your children for the year. It will be an amazing experience for us all! 

Already in the first 2 weeks I have learnt so much like lead pencils are simply called pencils and duo tangs are folders, not animals in the wild!

I have gotten to know your children and they are definitely a lovely group of kids who have been so accommodating and helpful since I have started here.

My pledge to you this year.

Just like Ms Hewitt, I will continue to update the blog on a weekly basis, to keep you informed with what is happening in the classroom as well as any upcoming events. The agenda will continue to be the main form of communication. 

I look forward to meeting you all soon.

Friday Dec. 15, 2017 - Data Assessment - create a broken line graph based on a set of data given and analyze the graph you've created.

Tues. Dec 19, 2017 - Science Assessment
Need to know:
- renewable vs. non renewable energy sources
- identify, draw and explain examples of energy transformations (energy conversions)
- identify ways people waste energy and ways to conserve energy (to be covered in the next few days)

The holiday season is around the corner and our school is once again helping those families in need. We're asking for any possible donations for the following family:
